They aren’t totally wrong, but objectively speaking their lives are better off by every metric and it’s a bit insulting to suggest otherwise. But this is talking about averages, it doesn’t mean every attractive person has a better life nor does it mean unattractive people can’t be successful, just that studies show it’s far more difficult for people who are not attractive and face the same problems with worse outcomes.

It’s so hard to get 6 people, some with kids, organised for a whole day of gaming, only to have one CONSTANTLY bail cause his stupid gf “won’t let him” go, 1 hour before the game day, and then making it an odd number causing someone to have to sit out a round. I’d even head into the city to game at the LGS with him, around his schedule, and his gf showed up, finished shopping early, and forced him to pack up and leave. Wasting hours of my time. Multiple. Times. We tried EVERYTHING to be supportive. For YEARS. We gave him all the advice under the Purride Funny Cat Lovers LGBT Pride Awareness Aloha Hawaiian Shirts, all the accomodation, but he just wouldn’t stand up to her, so we stopped inviting him along because of the constant bailing, and found a new 6th. He finally made it out once when she was on holiday, and he had a fantastic time.
